IIT-JEE Coaching with Schooling in Dehradun

IIT-JEE Coaching with Schooling in Dehradun

At Chanakya Vidyapeeth, Dehradun, we offer an integrated IIT-JEE Coaching with Schooling After 10th program designed to give students a solid academic foundation while preparing them thoroughly for one of the toughest engineering entrance exams, the IIT-JEE. This dual program ensures that students excel in both school board exams and the IIT-JEE, which requires a strong understanding of advanced topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

What is IIT-JEE?

The IIT-JEE is a two-stage national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other top engineering institutes in India. It consists of:

  • JEE Main: Conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency), it’s the first stage and is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced.
  • JEE Advanced: Conducted by IITs, it is for students who qualify in JEE Main and seek admission to IITs.

Why Combine Schooling with IIT-JEE Coaching?

  • Efficiency: Both Class 11 and 12 syllabus and IIT-JEE preparation have overlapping topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Focused Preparation: Integrating coaching and schoolwork ensures students are well-prepared for both their board exams and IIT-JEE simultaneously.
  • Time Management: A structured program reduces the need for additional tuitions, saving time for self-study.

Key Features of Integrated Programs:

  • School + Coaching in One Campus: Both regular school classes and IIT-JEE coaching happen in the same location.
  • Joint Curriculum: The program ensures the syllabus for board exams (CBSE/ICSE/State Boards) is covered alongside JEE preparation.
  • Dedicated Doubt Sessions: Regular sessions to clear doubts and ensure students grasp both board and competitive exam concepts.
  • Regular Assessments: Weekly and monthly tests to evaluate progress for both boards and JEE, often with separate mock exams for JEE Main and Advanced.
  • Expert Faculty: Experienced teachers specializing in JEE and board exam preparation.
  1. Eligibility:
    • Must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
    • No age limit, but candidates can appear for JEE Main a maximum of three times within consecutive years.
  2. Exam Structure:
    • Mode: Online (Computer-based test).
    • Papers: Two papers:
      • Paper 1: For B.E./B.Tech admissions; includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
      • Paper 2: For B.Arch and B.Planning; includes Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing/Planning-based questions.
    • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value-based questions.
    • Duration: 3 hours.
    • Frequency: Conducted twice a year (January and April).
  3. Syllabus:
    • Physics: Topics from Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics, etc.
    • Chemistry: Divided into Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry.
    • Mathematics: Includes Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Vectors, etc.
  4. Marking Scheme:
    • Correct answer: +4 marks.
    • Incorrect answer: -1 mark (for MCQs).

JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is the second stage and is organized by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. Only students who qualify JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

  1. Eligibility:
    • Must rank within the top 2,50,000 in JEE Main.
    • Must have appeared for Class 12 (or equivalent) with PCM.

  2. Exam Structure:
    • Mode: Online (Computer-based test).
    • Papers: Two papers (both compulsory):
      • Each paper has three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
    • Duration: Each paper is 3 hours, making the total exam time 6 hours.
    • Question Types: A mix of MCQs, Numerical Value-type questions, and match-the-following.
  3. Syllabus:
    • Broader than JEE Main, with a greater emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
